Iyengar Yoga

A form of Hatha yoga, in which props such as straps, blocks and belts are used to ensure correct body alignment in the various poses.  This means the poses can be achieved by both young and old, beginners and advanced. This form of yoga is verbal and precise, and as with other forms, unites the body, mind and spirit.

Saturday 8:00 am
Cost R150 per class.

Class Formats:

Private:  Ideal for addressing your individual goals and requirements. An exercise programme is created according to your own strengths and weaknesses. These one-on-one sessions ensure a smooth progression at your own pace under the constant supervision of your instructor.

Duet/Trio:  A session shared by two or three people can be a great way to motivate each other.  Each exercise can be modified or enhanced to suit the needs of each client during the class, and many people find this an enjoyable way to exercise.

Mat Group Class:  Up to twelve people can enjoy a full body workout on the mat, often incorporating small apparatus such as magic circle, foam roller, Therabands, and weights for an extra challenge.

Power Hour:  An intense equipment group class offered at lunchtimes, ideal for corporate executives.
